Wedding Registry

Info & Inquiries

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and thank you for your interest in a registry with Little Fire Ceramics!

Your registry is a wonderful way to add custom, artist-made, items to your collection that you’ve been dreaming of. Whether it is a dinnerware set, mugs, planters, or even decor for your special day, your registry is tailored to your needs. Below you will find some basic details regarding registering with Little Fire Ceramics as well as an inquiry form. There is no specific timeline for setting up your registry, so whether your special day is this summer or a year from now we can work collaboratively on creating it.

  • The Process : After you submit your inquiry form (below) you will receive an email with an introduction and answers to any immediate questions you had for me. I usually like to schedule a design meeting, which can either be in the form of a phone call, video call, or in person* if you are in the Milwaukee, Madison, or Chicago areas.

  • Design Meetings: In a design meeting we will discuss what items you would be interested in registering for, style details of those items (size, shape, glaze, etc), how many of each item you would like to register for, and general online registry layout (photo on the page, pricing/purchasing tiers, online vs. card notifications, active registry dates, etc). Often couples will send or bring in notes, links, or even create a Pinterest board of what they may be interested in registering for, especially if there are any items outside of my already offered plates/bowls/mugs or custom colors. Check out the glaze page to see current glaze offerings. Note that not all products are offered in every glaze color/pattern. If we meet in person I will also bring samples of items so you can see them in person. If you are outside of those noted areas I can ship samples to you, but would request them to be shipped back to me after we decide on those details.

  • Registry Items: Due to the custom nature of dinnerware sets and wedding registry items in general, items will not be shipped out individually when purchased, but will be made all at once after the registry is closed. Depending on the amount of items registered for please allow for up to four to six weeks for the items to be made.

  • Registry Set Up: You can choose how you want your registry to be set up. Guests can either purchase individual items (for example one bowl, one plate, or one full place setting) or they can contribute to your full set as a monetary contribution ($50, $75, $100, $200).

  • Registry Page: After our design meeting I would make a sample registry page for you to approve. Once that is approved I will make it live and send you a link that includes you and your fiance's names, which you can then pass along to your guests. You can see samples of other registries here: http://www.littlefireceramics.com/wedding-registries.

  • Getting Notified of Registry Purchases: You can choose to either be emailed when an item is purchased (which will include the name and contact information of that person) or guests can be mailed a blank card which they can in turn give or mail to you. When all items on your registry are purchased the registry will be closed and you will be emailed a list of contributors and their contact information. If your registry is completed early you can also add the option of gift cards for other custom items you may be interested in.

  • Closing the Registry: Registries will have a set close date, but you can always extend it if you wish. Often couples like to extend the registry three, six, or twelve months past their wedding date to accommodate anyone using the “gifting within a year of the wedding” rule.

  • Linking Zola (and similar sites) : While I am not a registered store on Zola, you can put the custom link I will create for you on your registry site so that guests can find all your registry items in one location.

I know this is a lot of information, especially with all the other wedding details you are probably already thinking about! Please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any questions at all. Dinnerware and creating registries are some of my favorite parts of my work so I'm very excited to provide any further details. Thank you again for your interested and I look forward to talking more soon!
